All glory and honor to our living God for the providence and success of the project.
THANK YOU TO THE BIG HEARTS :
Through this note, we extend our heartiest gratitude to the kind donors who made it possible to reach the families in need on 31st December 2021.
Importance of Charity :
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. – Hebrews 13:16
Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed. – Proverbs 19:17
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. – 2 Corinthians 9:7
Is it not to share your bread with the hungry and bring the homeless poor into your house; when you see the naked, to cover him, and not to hide yourself from your own flesh?
– Isaiah 58:7
1. Giving Is Evidence of Our Obedience to God
In the Old Testament Law, God told the Israelites to give a tenth of what they owned to the Lord for the support of the priesthood. Under the New Covenant, Jesus instructed His followers to give generously in proportion to how we would like God to be generous toward us (Luke 6:38).
2. Giving Sets Our Priorities Straight
As we give to God and invest in His kingdom, that’s where our hearts will be fixed and focused. Giving to God prioritizes our lives and is, again, evidence of our love for Him.
"But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." -Matthew 6:20-21
"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." - Colossians 3:2
3. Giving Increases Our Faith
Giving is not about how much money you have, it’s about how much faith you have. God is always faithful in providing all we need. It’s when we don’t give, that we end up lacking.
Giving is a matter of trust. The more you give, the more you learn to trust God that you will have enough left over for your own needs. And the more you trust, the more you’ll give. Again, put your money where your mouth is when you say “I trust God” and put Him to the test.
God takes that trust issue so seriously that the issue of money is the only area in which God tells us to test Him. Elsewhere Scripture says do not test the Lord your God
Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.-Deuteronomy 6:16
Jesus answered, “It is said: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'" -Luke 4:12
Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? -Acts 15:10
4. Giving Acknowledges That God Owns it All
If we are truly surrendered to God then everything we have is His. After all, what do we have, that hasn’t been given to us?
Having the steward mentality reminds us that He owns it all, our bodies, our homes, our money, our children, our jobs, our possessions. As the saying goes: He’s either Lord of all, or He isn’t Lord at all.
5. Giving Leads to Joy
In 2 Corinthians 9:7, we read: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:6 says, “Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back” (Luke 6:38)
Why should we do more charity??
Shared Opinions :
"Not everyone has the luxury we enjoy, not everyone has the same status in society, that's why God puts people in position and place to help each other. Charity brings the hand of God in the form of mankind. Charity makes us practice love in the form of giving. Charity helps us to be more kind, loving, understanding and also it pleases God"
~Ketho Medoze
" Charity helps people realize that it is possible to bless others in a world full of uncertainities and chaos. Your charity will teaches the next generation about generosity."
~Vilesenuo Mekro
"When you give, you get more unexpected blessings from God.
When you give, you get a sense of achievement of peace
When u do charity (in words) When u say loving words to others.. your words give healing and encouragement to those who are discouraged, you heal and give encouragement to other people"
~Abi Kezo
Charity can be considered as the highest form of love, signifying the reciprocal love between God and man that is made manifest in unselfish love.
IMPORTANCE OF CHARITY:
Charity is the evidence of our obedience to God which helps us to straighten our priorities, increase our faith and acknowledge that God owns it all. Charity is important to one’s overall wellbeing, allowing us to open our minds and hearts to humanity towards a
greater purpose of making the world better a better place. Charity gives us power to improve the lives of others, to many people, a privilege, and one that comes with its own
sense of obligation. Acting on these powerful feelings of responsibility is a great way to reinforce our faith and make us realise that we are living in a way that is true to our own believes which eventually leads to joy.
